second degree murder conviction which he served 10 years for. and details surrounding mace's death are now surfacing abc9 news reporter christina grijalva brings us reaction from the victim's family. "i never in my life would have imagined..." a sioux city man was fatally stabbed on the 19-hundred block of west first street early wednesday morning-- right down the way from his own front door. the victim was identified as vernon mace-- the father of verna hoffman.
